We are “St. Neagoe Basarab the Merciful”

Our organization operates 100% on volunteer-based work and will be financed thru volunteered monetary and goods contributions from Orthodox communities, ensuring that all the monetary donations will be used to make a difference in the lives of those individuals that our Most Merciful God will send our way, following St. Neagoe’s teachings: “oh, my beloved sons, that of this good and faithful testimony I have from Saint John Chrysostom. That he says “great work is done by those who make alms. For his mercy shall be praised at the judgment, and his mercy shall be praised as if there were a king with his armies....Likewise, those who make alms to the poor, and the misers, and the widows, for whom no one cares. For so are the sighs, and they go like arrows in the ears of Christ Sabaoth; therefore, only a word of them shall enter into the ears of the Lord Sabaoth, then all your sins shall be cleansed”. But, my sons, it is proper to do charity in purity, with fasting, with humility, with patience, with restraint, and with the honor of the fear of God, which comes first of all...” (Neagoe Basarab’s teachings to his son Teodosie, translated by Nun Christina Oceanitissa, 2022).

Goals:

• To locate and provide directly or through local Orthodox Christian non-profit organizations: goods, services and funds to young mothers, pregnant women, orphans, abandoned and disabled children, and paying special attention to the elderly, the lonely and the sick in underserved areas in critical need.

• To support and corroborate with domestic and foreign orthodox Christian parishes and monasteries to provide financial support for new constructions, renovations, and repairs of ecclesiastical buildings, refurnishing and restoration of Orthodox art, iconography, liturgical items and furniture, as well as humanitarian assistance in their communities.
